One can definitely use these mediums to calculate but then storage and retrieval of the data becomes very difficult to maintain. This storage of data is essential for future review as to which agent is doing appreciable work and which one is not, which product is in great demand in a particular area etc. The company can plan its future course of action based on this data. This is the advantage that the sales commission software has over the conventional calculation methods. Also it makes the entire process error free.
